The keyway is metric, tapered, or parallel to; BS 4235 Part 1, 1972 (based on iso/r773 and r774).

The sprocket is paired with keyways on the center line of the backlash, with the boss facing, and the deep end of the conical keyway is located on the side of the boss.
A single set screw is located above the keyway. The second set screw is at a 90-degree angle to the first set screw.
